The Berry Barn is owned and operated by our family, Ed and Darlene Derdall, daughter and husband, Natalie and Grant Erlandson.

We previously owned and operated Saskatoon's Spring Creek Market, a unique Saskatchewan store. Each of us enjoys a role in operating the Barn. Ed is our resident handyman. Darlene makes everyone feel welcome, talking with every single customer when time allows, and she also looks after the books. Grant loves the yard word and landscaping and supervises our deliveries and pick ups. Natalie is responsible for planning and catering to all Berry Patch functions. The grand children are involved, too. Daniel and Travis both help out during berry-picking season and Travis cuts the grass and loves to ride the "Gator". Brittney helps seat people in the restaurant and greets our guests.

Since purchasing the Berry Barn in 1997, we have tried to introduce new ways for our customers to enjoy "The Barn" and its surroundings, while maintaining the original vision of The Berry Barn as a place to "get away from it all" in a unique country setting.

We love our location in a 27 acre orchard of Saskatoon Berry bushes. During picking season (late June and early July) we offer fresh berries for purchase - already picked and sorted. We also have a U-Pick area, open daily (8 am to 8 pm) during picking season. We harvest between 22,000 and 28,000 pounds of Saskatoons each year - all hand picked and graded by up to 80 pickers at the busiest times. At the Barn itself, we employ around 50 people during peak season and about 25 at slower times.
